Mammillaria Compressa Care
Water the Mammillaria Compressa Cactus when the soil is dry, not only the visible part, but also the interior. When you water, the weather should be warm and sunny and you should give plenty of water. If you are using a plate under the pot, empty the plate 30 minutes after watering. Cactus and succulents are not accustomed to humid air and stuffiness in their natural environment. The ideal environment for growing cacti in spring, summer and autumn is the balcony. If you are growing cactus indoors, you need to ventilate the room frequently during the day.
Light Need
Mammillaria and most cacti need lots of sunlight. Don't try to grow cacti on the north side of your home, the sunniest areas are ideal for cacti. Place your cacti as close to the window as possible, and even reserve the sunniest places for your cacti on the window sills and on your balcony. However, you need to protect the cacti from the direct midday sun. Cacti love heat. They continue to grow up to 40 degrees in summer, but growth stops at warmer temperatures. They are also resistant to cold, provided that they are not watered in winter. The temperature should not fall below -15 degrees.
Pot Change
The best potting time is when the plant is resting. January-February or July-August are suitable for potting or repotting. The pot should not be too large for the cactus and the soil should not be excessive either.
