Gymnocalycium mihanovichii variegata needs direct sunlight, but don't overdo it. When exposed to direct sunlight, burning may occur on the body part, especially during the hot noon hours. It can also be grown in light shade or in bright but filtered light.
This plant is quite resistant to temperature changes, but it is best to maintain a stable temperature between 10-30°C. Care should be taken to ensure that the temperature does not remain below 10°C during the winter months.
Use a well-drained cactus or succulent soil. Soils specially formulated for cacti provide the roots of this plant with the necessary air and remove excess water.
